Stratford Hills

Austin, TX

With a breathtaking view of downtown Austin, this beautiful home was originally built in 1999 by David Dalgleish and his team. Mark Ashby Design had the pleasure of working with Dalgleish Construction again, along with Dallas based architect Jessica Stewart Lendvay, to completely renovate the interiors over the course of two years. After living in the Northeast for over 14 years and relocating to Austin in 2014, the clients were inspired by a European mid-century modern aesthetic, while still acknowledging their love for old world New England style. It was important for us to cohesively merge these two styles, from both an architectural and design perspective.

From the client: Working with the people at Mark Ashby Design was joyful and fun from start to finish. They helped us express ourselves; helped us find a context for our home-life that works on every level. They dealt with the blizzard of details so we could focus on big picture. I wish I could buy enough houses to work with them full time.
